Summer is here!

Summer has officially arrived!  Although Davis still has 2 more 1/2 days (well, he actually dismisses at 10:45), we spent our day at the pool with our friends, Ms. Erin, Alex, and Gray.  Davis already knows how to swim, Andrew has 2 more lessons to go, and Aubrey is swimming all over the pool with her floaties so pool time is much more relaxing these days for Mommy!  Hooray!

Nothing beats popsicles at the pool on a hot day!

Silly friends wrapped up in the same towel.

Davis decided to join in on the fun.

Post-pool spa party.  Alex is "coloring" Aubrey's hair with purple hair chalk.  No worries, it washes right out!

Rocket launch!

This was a very awesome morning!  We were able to go watch Davis launch the rocket he built for his science class.  The morning started off foggy but by the time it was his turn, it had cleared a little and we were able to see his rocket better.

Pre-launch with his rocket.

Waiting with the other boys in his class.

Video of Aubrey doing ballet.

Notice how hard she's concentrating! :)  Make sure you turn your sound up.

Aubrey's big Show

Aubrey has been taking a tap/ballet/gymnastics class at The Little Gym for almost a year now and she has really enjoyed herself.  Her favorite part is the ballet (don't call it dance, you'll get in trouble with her, it's simply, "ballet") so we are saying goodbye to the Little Gym and moving on to a place where she can "just do ballet."  Today was her Big Show and she did great! She was very nervous at first.  They tap danced first and she was hesitant and shy but when they got around to the ballet part, she was on!  The girl next to her kept swatting her with her flower but Aubrey remained focused and kept on going.  The last part was gymnastics and she did great on the balance beam and she even tucked her feet up on the bar (her least favorite thing to do there).  Way to go, Ballerina Aubrey, we are so proud of you!

She was ready for the ballet portion of the show!

The flowers were a nice touch.  She loved hers!

She concentrated so hard!

She was one of the few who actually watched her teacher and followed along!

Gymnastics time.  She does like the balance beam.

Balancing on one foot with her friend, Lily.

Jumping down after she finished.

Flipping her legs up...

...and that's as far as she would go. No teacher has been able to get her to flip over. :)

So proud!

There she is!

So proud of my sweet and silly little girl!

Savannah 2012

It's become a tradition, my mom and I take a few days to get away (well, for me anyway).  This year we went back to Savannah for 3 days.  It was wonderful, so relaxing!  We ate, shopped, ate, toured through beautiful homes, shopped, and ate some more!  Thank you, Mom, for such a fabulous three days and I can't wait to do it again next year!

Juliette Gordon Low home.  It was beautiful and there were lots of Girl Scouts there!  We saw plenty of badges and Mom had oh so fun memories of sewing mine on!

This was taken at Leopold's Ice Cream, the 5th best ice cream in the world.  I can't imagine what the first four would be since this was amazing!!

Carnival

The end of preschool came all too quickly this year and it made me a little sad.  Next year I will be sending Andrew off to Kindergarten and it will be Aubrey's last year of preschool.  Time goes so quickly these days!  We did have a great time at their end of the year carnival.  It was a rainy day but the school held it indoors and both Andrew and Aubrey were able to run around with their very best friends, Owen and Madeline, and hug on their wonderful teachers one last time.  We love our preschool!

Aubrey "playing" bean bag toss.  She might have cheated just a little. :)

She didn't cheat on this one.  However, she won every single time and Andrew didn't win once.  It's sort of a sore spot with him.

We will miss you, Ms. Williamson!

Preschool Music Show

Andrew and Aubrey had their spring music show last week and it was precious!  It was hard not to tear up knowing it was Andrew's last one since he'll be moving on to Kindergarten in the fall.  They both actually sang AND did the movements!  Very sweet!

Waiting to begin.

Happy Mother's Day

I have said it many times but I don't think I can say it enough, I am blessed beyond measure.  I have three miracles and I am more and more thankful for them every day.  I have the best job in the world.  Happy Mother's Day to all the moms and especially to mine!

Aubrey's soccer trophy!

Our children are all happy, each one has a soccer trophy.  Aubrey received hers today.  She went out with a bang, playing with all smiles and running her hardest.  She's finished now and "just wants to do ballet."  Hooray for the way she kept going throughout the season even though she stopped loving it about halfway through.  It looks like we've been to our final soccer game since all three have now played and no one wants to go back! :)

Mother's Day Teas

The past two days have been so fun and so full of food!  I feel like I have done nothing but eat and eat!  Having two preschoolers with Mother's Day Teas isn't helping!  Yesterday was my birthday and Aubrey was thrilled she was having her Tea on my birthday.  Her class sang, "You Are My Sunshine" to us and then gave us precious bookmarks and pictures they had made with their hand prints (yes, I will keep them, my parents still have a napkin holder made from my hand prints when I was little).  We had mini red velvet cupcakes that were delicious!  Today, it was Andrew's turn.  While they didn't sing to us, they did have those mini red velvet cupcakes and we took pictures to put in beautiful picture frames they had made.  I am admittedly sad this is Andrew's last preschool Mother's Day Tea, and, as I looked around, it was hard for me to picture Aubrey moving up to the big class.
Singing "You Are My Sunshine."

We just finished our yummy cupcakes!

My sweet Andrew almost never looks at the camera.  He's still cute, though!
