In their pj's and ready to go!

Davis & Alex writing letters to Santa.

Tonight was such a fun Friday night! We started off with dinner at McCallister's with the Miller family. Then we all headed to the bookstore where the kids got to wear their pj's and listen to the Polar Express being read to them while they had hot chocolate and cookies. It was such a fun night!

Video: dancing to Jingle Bells

You can't hear much of the song (it's Jimmy Buffett's "Jingle Bells"), but the three of them were too funny dancing! We had to stop when Davis started using Aubrey's head as a drum!

Decorating for Christmas

Andrew ready to decorate.

Hanging his ornament.

Aubrey and the beads.

Davis did a great job filling all the spaces.

Aubrey hagning her first ornament.

Checking out the tree.

Aubrey's pink tree!

This has been one of my favorite years so far for decorating! I have finally achieved my dream of having a Christmas tree in every room, there is even a tree on both the back porch and the front porch! Some are small and some aren't decorated, but I do have to admit that my house looks very pretty this year. Decorating our big family tree was quite an adventure. Andrew didn't want to hang the ornaments, he only wanted to play with them, and Aubrey just wanted to take the hooks off all the Christmas balls! She also loved the beads that go around the tree. Davis was our photographer for most of the pictures and he did a really great job!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Aubrey loved for Pa to read to her.

Nana and her little helper.

Grandpa was very surprised!

Aubrey loved climbing the ladder all by herself!

Reading with Nana.

It has become our tradition to go to Nana & Pa's house for Thanksgiving. It's Nana's favorite holiday and the kids all love it because she gets all into it and makes it fun for them. The food is delicious! This year, one of the highlights was giving Rick's dad the ladder he has always wanted for his birthday. It was a great surprise! I think Aubrey loved the ladder most of all, though! Rick and I feel truly blessed that his parents come along, too, and we can all celebrate together. After all, isn't that what Thanksgiving is all about? Being together with family and being thankful for those you love?

A visit to the museum!

Andrew & Gabriel ready to go!

Andrew & Aubrey playing dinosaurs.

Aubrey peeking out of the tree house.

The crew in front of one of the dinosaurs.

Every Thursday, we try to get together with my friend, Lisa, and her two boys, Ethan-4 and Gabriel-2. Andrew & Aubrey love to play with them! We decided to take all 4 kids (Davis was in school) to the State Museum to see the dinosaur exhibit and we took one car! It was quite an adventure but so much fun! Nobody was even afraid of the dinosaurs!

Driving the bulldozer.

Scary!

Even scarier!

Aubrey ready to milk the cow.

Rocking on the "front porch."

Sorry this is blurry, they were planting carrots.

Playing in the clay.

Aubrey joining in!

Aubrey playing in the sand.

Getting soaked but having fun!

Davis loved the water, too!\
Using pulleys.

Today is a teacher inservice day for our district which meant no school for Davis. Mommy decided we needed to do something fun so we had breakfast at Chick-Fil-A and then headed over to EdVenture Museum for a couple of hours. All 3 children had a blast! Their favorite part? The water at the end! Andrew and Aubrey were literally dripping wet by the time it was time to go!

Happy Halloween!

A ladybug, a dinosaur, and Wolverine!

Everybody loves Mrs. Kristie!

The front of the dinosaur costume...
...the back! Sooo cute!

Wolverine & Michael Jackson.

The Washington family!

It was a hot Halloween this year, with temps in the 80s when we started. Mrs. Kristie got to join us this year, along with Davis' good friend, JonAntheny, who came as Michael Jackson. Andrew the dinosaur and Aubrey the ladybug only lasted so long before they hung out with Daddy on the front porch and handed out candy. Davis, aka Wolverine, lasted much longer! Despite the heat, it was still a very Happy Halloween!
