Lights at the Zoo 2010

Bundled up and ready to go!

Candy Cane lights.

In front of a gorilla light.

Aubrey liked the pink ones.

Because Davis wanted a picture of the jack-in-a-box.

My favorite tree- it's lights blink with the music.

Watching the tree "dance."

More watching.

My tree again! :)

Because Andrew wanted a picture of the crocodile.

In front of the butterfly.

True Davis smile.

Because Aubrey wanted a picture of the pink flamingo.

Davis wanted a picture with Aubrey.

With their "wands."

Aubrey waving hers at the fake snow.

It was the perfect night to go see the Lights at the Zoo! The weather cooperated and stopped raining just as we got there and the temperature was in the 40s (as opposed to last year's upper 20s, low 30s)!

Christmas Cookie Decorating

Davis using cookie cutters.

Decorating the tree with candy canes.

Davis decorating his cookie.

Aubrey decorating her cookie.

Munching on the finished products.

Today we went to Ms. Erin's house to bake and decorate Christmas cookies. The kids had a blast and there was icing everywhere to prove it!

Videos, videos

Ok, so my children most likely won't be Broadway stars, but they sure are cute! Below are two videos, 1 from Aubrey's Preschool Christmas program, and the other is Andrew's. Neither one sings but Aubrey taps her toes and Andrew, after waving at me a few times, bobs his head. Merry Christmas, everyone!

Andrew's Christmas Program

Davis' Christmas Party

Listening to Mrs. Pennington read. Davis is on the far left, at the top.

Making his nutcracker.

My favorite third grader.

This has been my busiest Christmas yet and it's still a week away! Today finally ended all the school parties with Davis' this afternoon. All the third graders wore pajamas to school and watched Christmas movies. In Davis' classroom, the made nutcrackers and had yummy snacks. I think this Mommy is about sugared out!

Andrew's Christmas Program

On the second row, seated.

Refusing to sing.

Arms folded, but he was at least happy.

Very happy about the party!

Especially loved the cookies!

Today it was Andrew's turn to perform. He informed me early on that he did NOT want to go up on the stage and he wasn't kidding. For the entire first half, he looked pitiful and held out his arms to me but his teacher and I stayed strong and made him stay on stage and eventually he was happy about it! He didn't sing, but he did bob his head up and down! When it was all over, we gave him big hugs and told him how proud we were of him for staying on the stage the whole time.
